Colon Cleansing With A Homemade Enema

Colon cleansing can be accomplished through diet and herbal supplements. When this is not enough, there is the option of making a homemade enema.
It is easy to make your own enema. Purchase an enema bag and tubing or else use a bag and tubing to make your own system. Make sure that you use a system with appropriate fluid flow and that can be properly and thoroughly cleaned. Be sure to use ingredients that are safe and comfortable for you. One of the safest ingredients for a colon cleanse and detox is mineral oil of a saline solution. You can use five ounces of mineral oil to cleanse the colon and provide lubrication. A saline solution can be made with two cups of lukewarm water and two teaspoons of salt. The most gentle colon detoxification regime is a warm water enema.
If you have need for some more specific medicinal properties, you can add herbs to promote your health. The herbs most likely to help with an enema treatment include spearmint, white oak bark, or bayberry bark. Be sure to steep them long enough for the medicinal properties take effect.
A warm enema with catnip can relieve pain that can be associated with colon issues. If you have any chronic condition or sensitivity, be sure to contact a medical professional before using a homemade enema.
An enema bat is connected to an enema tube with a nozzle. It is often used while the patient lies on the floor on their back. It is helpful to lubricate the nozzle with olive oil or some other lubricant. After inserting the nozzle into the anus, the clamp can be released to allow a flow of liquid. When the colon is full, the flow is stopped and the nozzle removed. The liquid should be retained for at least a couple of minutes and up to ten minutes. After this time, the colon can be emptied and the process repeated until the waste is removed and the colon is clean.
Colon cleansing should begin with diet and exercise. A detox diet can help keep the colon clean. If; however, you find that extra help is needed, a homemade enema can be a safe and easy way to remove waste and give you relief.
