Diet Changes For Those Suffering From Crohn’s Disease
June 19, 2007 | Leave a Comment
By researching your natural treatments for Crohn’s disease, you may find a way to help relive the symptoms of this painful disease.
Treatment for Crohn’s disease may also include dietary changes. Some physicians do not believe that there is a link between diet and symptoms, but I have got friends who report that they experience a reduction in their symptoms due to a change in their diet.
These changes are pretty common sense. They involve removing any known allergens from your diet, including wheat, milk, soy, etc., or avoiding foods that may cause increased intestinal inflammation. Such foods usually include caffeine, a large level of fat, any alcohol, and reducing sugar intake.
Another recommendation for those suffering from Crohn’s disease is to take nutritional supplements. These are most commonly recommended for children with this disease, because the disease can cause stunted and retarded growth. You may want to ask your doctor if he recommends multi vitamins for such cases.

Treatment For Crohn’s Disease
June 7, 2007 | Leave a Comment
There are various treatments for Crohn’s disease. Obviously, you can take prescription medications to help treat your symptoms of diarrhea and digestive pains. Some doctors also recommend antibiotics to help treat any bacteria that may be causing symptoms in the digestive system as well.
However, if you have read my blog long enough, I do not advocate the use of drugs as a long term and permanent solution. While drugs do have its place in the area of treatment, they do carry a risk of side effects and in many cases, worsen the condition that they were supposed to treat in the first place.
Prescription medications may be used to control the symptoms at one stage but complementary and natural treatments should be used as well. A combination of natural treatment methods can be used to help treat digestive disorders and reduce the discomfort that you are facing.
